Tooradin-Dalmore 11.15-81 vs Cranbourne Gold 0.1-1

Round 7 saw us head to Cams Reserve to take on Cranbourne. In the warm autumn sunshine our boys bought their game faces and played some fantastic team football. We hit the ground running and notched up 3 goals in the first quarter to Cranbourne’s 0. We again kept them scoreless in the second quarter while adding another 2 goals to our tally heading into the half time break 38 points up.

The second half saw the boys add a further 6 goals to the score with Cranbourne scoring their only point in the dying minutes of the final quarter and the Seagulls coming away with the win 11.15.81 to 0.0.1. With the boys sharing the goals we had 9 individual goal kickers with Aaron Knight the only player to kick 3.

The goal kickers all with 1 apiece were Jordan Bury, Cooper Simpson, Josh Iannantuono, Jesse Sumner, Bevan Bell, Matthew Huxtable, and with their first goals for the Seagulls, Koby Peck and Daniel Taweel. Well done boys.

Tooradin-Dalmore 6.4-40 vs Pakenham Blue 9.7-61

Tooradin U13’s hosted Pakenham Blue at Rutter Park on Sunday. The team had a solid training session during the week and had worked on areas of their game the coaches felt required improvement.

From the first bounce the team was committed to each contest and with fast ball movement and repeat inside 50’s, Tooradin took the lead into the qtr. time break.

Pakenham responded in the second quarter and although they outscored us, we competed well and the midfield continued to provide opportunities to the forwards.

The second half again was a close contest and our backline continued to play some of their best footy for the season. Whilst recent games have been tough, today showed the improvement that has been gained from playing quality opposition.

Players have been given differing roles this season and it was positive to see players like Anthony Mirauta taking strong marks all around the ground, Panos Papas laying tackles in defence and across the forward line and Josh Shipton taking to his role in defence to a new level.

Goals: Brodie Matthews 2, Anthony Mirauta 2, Tait Missen 1, Panos Papas 1.

Best: Charlie Shinners, Panos Papas, Jordyn Boyd

Tooradin-Dalmore 9.6-60 vs Narre South Lions 6.12-48

Sunday was our first home game in 4 weeks, and what a day to be back playing at home against Narre South Lions on a glorious day.

Today the sun was shining on us and our boys. They played some great football, showing not just skill and determination but great team effort working together as well as discipline. They cleared the ball well from the first bounce which led them to kick the first score of the game.

From the first bounce to the final siren the boys found their form in great Tooradin style and led the game the whole way through.

They finished the game with 9 goals what an amazing effort by the whole team. Well done boys keep it up.

Our goal kickers for the game: Matthew Birnie kicking 3 goals, Jack Jenkins and Luke Townsend kicking 2 goals each and single goal kickers Max Kendell and Benjamin Peters.
