On Sunday we played Cora Lynn. We had a full team, with Cora Lynn needing some of our players to even up the playing numbers today.

Terrific sportsman ship from Lachlan Hall, Luke Kraskov, William Huntingford & William Klanja for making up the numbers in the opposition – without this we would not have been able to play the match.

Also well done on an amazing first game Chad Stevens, great efforts on ground from Lachie Giles and to Archer Gillespie on your first goal. Second win in a row for under 8’s with results of. Great game everyone!

Great hustle from the Seagulls on Sunday! They went hard at the ball, tackling was superb and really made Berwick work for every possession.

The improvement shown each week is amazing, they look stronger and faster at every game. Team work is a big part of the Seagulls game and the talk between mates and connecting play throughout the entire ground is brilliant. Keep pushing seagulls, you’re smashing it!!

Noble Park          10   6    66
Tooradin-Dalmore    1    0    6

The U12’s played away against Noble Park on Sunday and we were up against it early only for the whole team to really have a crack in the 2nd half.

It was great to see everyone put in their all but unfortunately we came up short.

Standout players were Kasy Deren, Lenny Goldberg, Cooper Pasnin, Curtis Watts, Noah  Harrington (who played his best game yet), Jack  Sherer and our inspirational skipper Tommy Rudeforth what a game he played.

Our goal kicker was Jack who played on from the boundary and put through a beautiful goal. Well played to all and see you all at training on Wednesday night.

Under 13’s Nar Nar Goon vs Tooradin-Dalmore

Nar Nar Goon         11   12   78
Tooradin-Dalmore     0    0     0

Tooradin went out as a team on Sunday and showed persistence. Nar Nar Goon dominated for the most part, but our boys didn’t give up trying.  As a result, the game didn’t go our way, but there was plenty of talking and some things to work on during the week.  Best players were Ashtyn Paku, Jakob Martin, Jack Mannix, Jordan Bury, Brodie Alsemgeest and Lachlan Plant.  Great effort to everybody.

Under 14’s Tooradin-Dalmore vs Berwick Blue

Tooradin-Dalmore     5   14   44
Berwick Blue         2    4   16

After a hard week on the training track, the U14s were home to Berwick Blue and looking to make up for a big loss last week.

The game was a big occasion for 2 of our team with Jesse Craven & Fergus Goldberg both playing their 100th games.

The 1st quarter saw great intensity and attack on the ball. The teams willingness to tackle hard and move the ball quickly saw 2 quick goals and multiple inside 50’s.

Berwick turned up the pressure in the second term and both sides struggled to score. The Tooradin backline showed good composure and fought hard to keep Berwick from scoring.

With a 13 point lead the 3rd term showed the type of team oriented football that we are capable of. The ball movement was quick and accurate and gave the forwards multiple shots on goal. By the end of the quarter Tooradin had moved to a 20 point lead.

With the first victory in two years in sight the coach challenged the team to continue the run and chase they had shown all day. Players continued to put their bodies on the line and work hard for each other till the end of the game. When the siren sounded it was a great reward for effort for a team who have been fighting hard for two seasons in Division 1.

Congratulations to Jesse Craven, Best on Ground for his 100th game and to Fergus Goldberg  with both showing great intensity and attack on the ball all day in their milestone games.

Goal Scorers Panos Papas – 1, Cooper Bassett – 1, Charlie Shinners -1, Tyler Kirkbride -1, Jesse Craven – 1.

Exciting passages of play combining running, marking and passing amongst each other being the highlights in what was a very entertaining game of football. Beaconsfield themselves had their share of the ball and played very well. The sportsmanship from both sides was first class as both teams tried their hardest for the whole four quarters. Tooradin-Dalmore FC  4         7          31

Cranbourne Blue          4         5          29

What a way to start the morning with the last post played, all teams lined up and paid their respect to the ANZACs.

This must have motivated the boys as they were up and about early on. Putting in the pressure where needed and kicking a goal, (great job Koby McCleod) into the wind in the first quarter to Cranbourne 2 goals 1point.

With the wind at our back in the second quarter we were able to keep Cranbourne scoreless and put on 2 goals (great job Blake Howlett)  and 1 point down our end.

In the second half they continued their pressure and although we didn’t score the boys didn’t drop their heads. Cranbourne put 3 goals 4 on the board in the third quarter.

Last quarter rolled around, and we knew it was our time to put the foot down. With the boys all getting amongst it we were able to put on another goal (Great Job Java Lauterboom) and 6 points and keep Cranbourne scoreless again to come away with the win by 2 points!

Tooradin-Dalmore FC    0        0            0

Tooradin Dalmore Under 12’s girls team went down to a strong Beaconsfield on Friday night for their inaugural game of footy.

The scoreboard does not always tell the story as the Tooradin girls fought tenaciously against an opposition that was too big and too fast.

Well played to all the Tooradin girls.  Go Shegulls!

It was great to see our under 14’s pay their respects to our Anzacs today. Watching the team stand shoulder to shoulder while the last post played was a proud moment.

Going into today I think the boys felt confident in their abilities against Narre North Foxes after playing them in a practice match a few weeks ago.

It was a close game in the first quarter with both teams on 8 at the break. We lost some ground in second quarter and held Narre North close in the second half. Final scores Narre North Foxes 5 9 39 to Tooradin 2 5 17. Goals to Hudson Rogers 2

Fantastic effort boys! Go Seagulls

Under 10’s
Endeavour Hills and Narre North Foxes Grey
What a fantastic start to the 2019 season for the Tooradin Seagulls Under 10’s at Little Demons Day. The Seagulls team work was fantastic with some great connecting handball and kicks to teammates. They laid heaps of strong tackles and gave 110% at every contest.
Came away with one win and one loss, not too bad for a day’s work!
The kids were so excited about putting back on their guernseys and their clean skills proved how hard they have been working in the off season.
It was also great to see a couple of the normally quiet ones having a real crack! Well done everyone! Bring on round 1.
Goals 2 Charlie Burgess, 1 Dylan Kraskov, Cooper Webb, Kane Angleton, Tom Sherer and Declan Whittley.

Under 11’s Berwick North vs Tooradin-Dalmore
Berwick North           1        1        7
Tooradin-Dalmore     9        14       68
The Under 11’s started the season in stunning fashion.  In windy conditions against Berwick North at Timbarra Reserve the boys set up the win with a 7 goal to zero first half. Opening the season with a 61 point win.

Under 12’s Cranbourne Gold vs Tooradin-Dalmore
Cranbourne Gold      2        4        16
Tooradin-Dalmore     5        9        39
What a great game we witnessed by our Under 12s boys and girl. Each player put in effort after effort to win against Cranbourne Gold. We knew from last year that they were going to be a hard competition to play against and on Sunday we proved that we can play and that we will never give up to come home with a great win.
Credit to Cranbourne for never giving up as they fought back in the third quarter. Every single player put in a lot of effort to get a win so they all should be very proud of the game they all played.
Outstanding today were Jack Sherer, Lenny Goldberg and Kasy Deren. Two of the new players to our team, Rawson Vandborg and Chase Mackrell were also outstanding.
Goal kickers were Jack Sherer 2, Lenny Goldberg, Callum Scorah and Brendan Vandborg 1 goal each. Go Seagulls!

Under 13’s Narre South Lions vs Tooradin-Dalmore
Narre South Lions Navy       9        12       66
Tooradin-Dalmore                 0        4        4
It was a windy 25 degrees on Sunday and our boys went out positive and tried hard against Narre South Lions. Tooradin were very dominant in the first quarter and managed three behinds with the wind to Narre South’s two goals.
Second quarter, again we controlled the game keeping them to one goal with the wind, in the second half the boys never stopped trying, unfortunately going down by 62 points in the end.  Great first game in Division 2 for the boys.
Best players were Jack Mannix, Harry Hardy, Ashtyn Paku, Koby Peck, Jakob Martin & Jordan Bury.
Some great tackles laid today, Harry had a fantastic game, some things to work on as a team out of the game, but it was a good team effort.

Under 14’s Berwick White vs Tooradin-Dalmore
Berwick White          11       9        75
Tooradin-Dalmore     1        4        10
Tooradin travelled to Arch Brown Reserve on Sunday to take on Berwick White.
With a few new faces making their debut and preseason training long forgotten, the boys were excited to be back playing.
Berwick White started fast and had early goals before Tooradin had their first shot on goal. By half time Berwick had opened up a sizeable lead but to their credit the team continued to compete and the backline stopped multiple shots on goal.
The team continued to fight hard during the third term and had multiple attempts on goal for no reward. Berwick continued to send the ball into their 50 on numerous occasions but good teamwork kept their scoring to only a couple of goals. With a never give up attitude, a free was awarded on the wing and when a 25m penalty was awarded, the ball was kicked quickly into the forwarded line by Cooper Bassett where Brody Campbell marked strongly in front and went back and kicked the goal. It was a great reward for the team who gave it their all throughout the day.
