Noble Park 8.8-56 vs Tooradin-Dalmore 0.0-0
In perfect conditions for football we were up against a tough opposition who sit on top of the ladder so we asked the boys and girls to give all they have and to not leave anything out on the ground.
And what a performance they all put in led by our 2 back flankers skipper Tommy Rudeforth and Alex Day who both had their best games for the season. Then there was Jett Lowndes and Brodi Armstrong who didn’t stop running all day. There were other standout game’s from Riley Fengler Curtis Watts, Kasy Deren, Ben Brown, Kade Howes, Jack Sherer, Lenny Goldberg and Seb Cooke.

Nar Nar Goon 5.5-35 vs Tooradin-Dalmore 3.3-21
On Sunday we travelled to play against the second placed Nar Nar Goon. In another must win game for our boys we came out firing and had a huge amount of the ball for the quarter. We managed 3 points but with a late goal Nar Nar Goon went into quarter time with the lead. Our boys played hard and tough footy and kept up to the contest against a much bigger team. With Tooradin kicking 1 goal per quarter we ended the game with 3.3.21 to Nar Nar Goon taking home the win with 5.5.35. Berwick Springs Blue 8.4-52 vs Tooradin-Dalmore 4.8-32
Tooradin travelled this week to Berwick Springs home ground to face the second on the ladder Titans.
With a strong wind pushing across the ground kicking with the wind in the first quarter would be an advantage. After winning the toss the midfield started well and sent the ball into attack on numerous occasions. Although we had the majority of the play it wasn’t until returning midfielder Jesse Craven took a mark directly in front that we registered our first goal.
The second quarter was all Berwick Springs and with the wind and quick accurate ball movement, we soon found ourselves 4 goals down at half time.
The second half was a tight contest. Tooradin midfielders Jesse Craven, Cooper Bassett and Brodie Campbell all started to get on top of their respective opponents. Our forwards continued to present up at the ball carrier and worked equally hard with their defensive pressure. Goals to Jesse Craven and a great mark and goal from Tait Missen kept the Seagulls in striking distance.
Tooradin’s backline was to be tested in the last term and to their credit they fought hard all quarter and limited the opportunities that the Titans had with the wind. With continued run from the midfield Tooradin drove the ball into its forward 50 against the wind. The forwards again applied great defensive pressure which resulted in a strong mark to Anthony Mirauta who goaled against the flow of play.
In the end Berwick Springs accuracy was the difference but Tooradin gave a strong account of themselves against quality opposition.
Goals Anthony Mirauta 2, Jesse Craven 2, Tait Missen 1.
Endeavour Hills 8.8-56 vs Tooradin-Dalmore 6.6-42
Wow what an amazing day on Sunday for our under 14’s. We took on Endeavour Hills at their home ground. Our boys played their best game this year, it was absolutely amazing to watch!!
We had boys kicking there 1st goal of the season James with the opening goal for us which was fantastic then Jed kicking our 2nd goal and Jack kicking the 3rd giving us the lead at half time. The back line were fantastic strong tackles fast chasing and the whole team playing and putting in a 100% effort. The boys slowed down a bit in the 3rd but came back strong in the 4th with Ben kicking a quick 2 goals to put us back in the game keeping Endeavour Hills scoreless, Tadhg kicking our 3rd goal for the quarter leaving us down by 14 points. Unfortunately time wasn’t in our favour and we went down by that amount. Today’s effort by our boys was truly remarkable and we couldn’t ask for anymore from them.
