Under 8’s Tooradin Dalmore vs Cora Lynn

Tooradin-Dalmore    20   7   127
Cora Lynn           4   4    28

On Sunday we played Cora Lynn. We had a full team, with Cora Lynn needing some of our players to even up the playing numbers today.

Terrific sportsman ship from Lachlan Hall, Luke Kraskov, William Huntingford & William Klanja for making up the numbers in the opposition – without this we would not have been able to play the match.

Also well done on an amazing first game Chad Stevens, great efforts on ground from Lachie Giles and to Archer Gillespie on your first goal. Second win in a row for under 8’s with results of. Great game everyone!

Great hustle from the Seagulls on Sunday! They went hard at the ball, tackling was superb and really made Berwick work for every possession.

The improvement shown each week is amazing, they look stronger and faster at every game. Team work is a big part of the Seagulls game and the talk between mates and connecting play throughout the entire ground is brilliant. Keep pushing seagulls, you’re smashing it!!

Under 12’s Noble Park vs Tooradin-Dalmore

Noble Park          10   6    66
Tooradin-Dalmore    1    0    6

The U12’s played away against Noble Park on Sunday and we were up against it early only for the whole team to really have a crack in the 2nd half.

It was great to see everyone put in their all but unfortunately we came up short.

Standout players were Kasy Deren, Lenny Goldberg, Cooper Pasnin, Curtis Watts, Noah  Harrington (who played his best game yet), Jack  Sherer and our inspirational skipper Tommy Rudeforth what a game he played.

Our goal kicker was Jack who played on from the boundary and put through a beautiful goal. Well played to all and see you all at training on Wednesday night.

Under 13’s Nar Nar Goon vs Tooradin-Dalmore

Nar Nar Goon         11   12   78
Tooradin-Dalmore     0    0     0

Tooradin went out as a team on Sunday and showed persistence. Nar Nar Goon dominated for the most part, but our boys didn’t give up trying.  As a result, the game didn’t go our way, but there was plenty of talking and some things to work on during the week.  Best players were Ashtyn Paku, Jakob Martin, Jack Mannix, Jordan Bury, Brodie Alsemgeest and Lachlan Plant.  Great effort to everybody.

Under 14’s Tooradin-Dalmore vs Berwick Blue

Tooradin-Dalmore     5   14   44
Berwick Blue         2    4   16

After a hard week on the training track, the U14s were home to Berwick Blue and looking to make up for a big loss last week.

The game was a big occasion for 2 of our team with Jesse Craven & Fergus Goldberg both playing their 100th games.

The 1st quarter saw great intensity and attack on the ball. The teams willingness to tackle hard and move the ball quickly saw 2 quick goals and multiple inside 50’s.

Berwick turned up the pressure in the second term and both sides struggled to score. The Tooradin backline showed good composure and fought hard to keep Berwick from scoring.

With a 13 point lead the 3rd term showed the type of team oriented football that we are capable of. The ball movement was quick and accurate and gave the forwards multiple shots on goal. By the end of the quarter Tooradin had moved to a 20 point lead.

With the first victory in two years in sight the coach challenged the team to continue the run and chase they had shown all day. Players continued to put their bodies on the line and work hard for each other till the end of the game. When the siren sounded it was a great reward for effort for a team who have been fighting hard for two seasons in Division 1.

Congratulations to Jesse Craven, Best on Ground for his 100th game and to Fergus Goldberg  with both showing great intensity and attack on the ball all day in their milestone games.

Goal Scorers Panos Papas – 1, Cooper Bassett – 1, Charlie Shinners -1, Tyler Kirkbride -1, Jesse Craven – 1.
